Welcome to our Web Design Studio

We work with individuals and small-to-medium businesses (that’s you) and we focus on keeping costs low and quality high. We combine good design (we make your website look good) with user-friendly layouts (we keep it simple and functional). We understand your need for flexibility and affordability – we, therefore, allow you to choose your own domain and hosting company (the place where your website and address are housed).

If you are a bit apprehensive about getting started – relax - we will help and guide you to make the best decisions for your business. Ask us anything (even if you feel like you should know the answer!).

How to get your business on the internet

Whether you are just starting out, have been in business for years or changing your line of business; getting your business online might seem like a daunting task. Every day there is something new to learn and just when you think you have the hang of that new accounting program or fax machine – they bring out something new!

I want to help you by setting it out step-by-step. Telling you exactly what you need to know while leaving out the jargon that leaves everyone confused!

Domain Name

For google, their domain is google.co.za.  Your domain is your street address on the world wide web. Where does your business live?  You will need your own address (or domain name). Choosing your domain name is a very important step as your it will assist others in finding you (as well as help search engines – like google – find you). If your business was hair for example  and your business was called ‘Scissors’ then scissorscutshair.co.za would be better than scissors.co.za as it contains ‘keywords’ in the domain. So, think carefully when choosing your domain name.

Socially Networked

I went to a business network meeting this week. After I came home, I really felt motivated about my business. Nothing like fresh ideas to reignite the passion you have for what you do. This reminded me of the importance of Social Networking when it comes to your business. People want to hear from you. They want to know how passionate you are about your work. They want to believe in you.

When you reach out, tweet, post that facebook thought or idea – you become a part of the furniture or part of the family. You build relationships with people. They get to know you and your business and that gives them the confidence to use your product or service.

Social Networking is not about computers, nicknames or virtual people. It is about connecting with real people with similar interests. It is about using the power of the internet to grow your business and nurture relationships!
